Keep Your Children (And Their Phones) Safe With Front Door Software
It is no secret that kids and teenagers today are attached – some say addicted – to their phones. But kids can be careless, even with their most valuable possession, and quite often their precious phones end up lost or stolen. In fact, some data suggests that as many as 113 phones are lost or stolen every minute in the United States.
Front Door Software has introduced a new mobile app for Android and Apple devices that helps protect against theft and provides solutions for finding and retrieving a lost phone. Additionally, this new app also provides emergency buttons before or with the lock-screen that could potentially save the life of your child.
The app is only $2.99 on the Google and Apple stores. Select a button below to get your App today!
How Does It Work?
1. The Android app displays ownership contact information before or with the lock-screen so the phone can easily be returned if it is lost. The Apple app can pull the ownership information to the first screen with a simple tap. Simply displaying ownership information is a proven method for retrieving a lost device.
2. It allows you to track the location of the device using the built-in GPS software.
3. The app provides three potential life-saving emergency buttons on the lock-screen (M, E and A) so if your child is in a dangerous situation they can easily call for help.
If your child has a medical condition (such as severe allergies) pressing the M button will send a text and GPS location to up to four pre-selected contacts communicating a custom message, such as: I am in trouble. I have XYZ medical condition. Please send help to my location. My phone number is XXX-XXX-XXXX.
This button can give you peace-of-mind knowing that if your child has a medical emergency he or she can immediately contact you with their location at the push of a button without going through the steps of unlocking the phone and typing out a message.
If your child is afraid for his or her personal safely and wants to discretely call for help, the E button will send a silent text to up to four pre-selected contacts communicating: I am in trouble and am sending a silent text. Please DO NOT call me back, but click on the map link of where I am and send help to my location.
If you want your child to send you a simple notification that he or she has arrived at a destination, they can press the A button, which will send a text reading: I have arrived. A GPS link to the location from which the text was sent is also included in the message
* Please Note: If the GPS is not enabled during an emergency or the device is not able to access GPS, The Front Door App will only be able to try to send out a custom message but not the location. The App is designed to potentially help people in an emergency situation.
